There was no independent confirmation of the authenticity of the letter, published on the website of Islamist ideologue Abu Walid al-Masri, although several specialists on militant propaganda said the text appeared genuine.

Omar bin Laden, who has been based in the Gulf in recent years, did not immediately respond to emailed and telephoned requests for comment.

The letter said, in part: "We hold the American President (Barack) Obama legally responsible to clarify the fate of our father, Osama bin Laden, for it is unacceptable, humanely and religiously, to dispose of a person with such importance and status among his people, by throwing his body into the sea in that way, which demeans and humiliates his family and his supporters and which challenges religious provisions and feelings of hundreds of millions of Muslims."

The letter said the U.S. administration had offered no proof to back up its account of the mission. It alleged the goal of raid had been to kill and not arrest, adding that afterwards the American commandos had "rushed to dispose of the body."

Some Muslims have misgivings about how U.S. forces killed bin Laden in a raid in Pakistan on May 2 and disposed of his body in the ocean.

Questions have multiplied since the White House said the al Qaeda leader was unarmed when U.S. helicopter-borne commandos raided the villa where he was hiding in the city of Abbottabad.

Bin Laden's swift burial at sea, in what many Muslims say was a violation of Islamic custom, has also stirred anger.

The fact “that the Americans have killed Osama is neither shameful nor disgraceful,” the announcement said, since ”men and heroes are only killed on the battlefield, and every soul has an appointed time.” It went on to warn that “Sheikh Osama did not build an organization that would die with him, nor would end with him.”

A well regarded and prolific member of the online jihadi community, Assad al-Jihad 2 (Lion of Jihad 2), frequently posts articles on the Ansar and Shumukh forums written on behalf of al Qaeda, and is thought to be a senior member of the group. After news of bin Laden’s death first emerged, he polled forum users to assess their reactions. The overwhelming majority, more than ninety percent, believed that attacks against the United States would increase, and that bin Laden’s death would embolden the movement.

Bin Laden’s influence will linger online for years to come. His followers have been quick to renew their pledge to the jihadi cause and are promising new attacks. One contributor warned on the Ansar forum that “a million new bin Ladens will be born! And the flag of jihad will be raised! Inshallah.” Another, Husain Mahmoud, wrote, “We are a nation who build a lofty fortress with the skulls of its chivalrous men. Whenever a man dies in war, the fortress growers even higher, remaining ever so lofty and elevated!”

When i first heard Osama bin laden was dead i was extremely shocked and i was HAPPPPYYYY as all heck, who would have know what it would take 10 years to find a single man! I honestly think Bin laden's death but of course new things are being said, conspiracies are rising and politically things are becoming more and more heated with Pakistan.The Us gives Pakistan about $7bn in non-military aid to fight terrorism and our most wanted terrorist was "hiding" right underneath your nose! REALLLY!? sheesh makes me mad just even typing it.Now people have been doubting bin laden's death because the story that was originally told us was false. People world wide are demanding a photo to identify that its really him. Honestly i think that even with a photo people will always continue to have their doubts.Obama isn't going to release the photo's of bin laden because it could incite additional violence and another attack. Class discussion Reflection: Immigration

So this topic, in my opinion was more heated then the Mosque controversy or health-care . Actually i wouldn't have even called what happened on thursday a discussion, it was more like an argument. It being that this is an issue that probably about 90% of our classmates have dealt with in some way or form (parents, family, friends, who are illegal or have been, taxpayer's who are completely against the illegals)all of these factors made it a personal topic, making it difficult to actually get a point across. I'm usually very outspoken in these class discussion, but this time i just soaked it all in, plus it was difficult to say anything with the passing and tossing of the "ball". What i did noticed was that there were allot of people getting offended because the race card was pulled out, and it was merely impossible to get around that or to move on..and it explains why this topic is such a difficult one to talk about. I wish that Mr.palo would have threw in some questions(when the topic of the conversation was just based on Mexicans doing jobs Americans want to or not want to do or when slavery was brought up into the mix) for us to talk about, because like he told me there is more to this topic then whether they should be here or not. To me allot of the responses were based on just their own opinion and what they believe, i wish there were more facts like Kierra succeeded to present to us at the beginning of the discussion and then gave an opinion. I felt that we only spoke about the basics and what everyone already knows like why immigrants flee here; to make a better living [WE KNOW THISSSS MAN], and we didn't really explore and take into consideration the full 360 immigration/imm.reform deals with.I'm pretty disappointed, if any one's reading let me know what you're thoughts.

US expands Mexico Travel WARNING

A travel warning is the highest caution that the State Department can issue, due to crime and violence and civil unrest. New warning is set to Tuscan, rocky point, anywhere around the mexican bored, and even tourist citys in mexico like Alcapulco and Montrey. Imagine how crucial and the intensity of this warning that its equivalent to the warning in other countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, the West Bank, Colombia, North Korea and Haiti. The Washington Post estimated that 35,000 people have died or disappeared in drug-related violence in the region over the past four years. Almost all are Mexican citizens. I also read on that over the past view days the largest mass graves in Mexico, they found 177 dead bodies dumped in a pit. It seems like things are getting worse and worse :/
So the blame for most of the violence and danger partaking in mexico is to the Drug Cartels, who ships masses of narcotics. I WONDER WHY it so easy to smuggle into the US, well its probably not that easy or else it wouldnt causing such havoc.

Skyrocketing Cost of Illgal immigrants.

So i came across this article bashing illgal immigrants, there was alot that i disagreed on mostly because of the words the author chose, although i did agree with the concluding statement of this article. This article states " Illegal aliens are in no manner to contributing to our nation; the only thing they are doing is disgracing the country and shaking the very base of our economy. Because of their illegal infringement, our Native American citizens are severely affected." -I disgree with that, they are IN NO MANNER to contribute to our nation?..uhh what about cheap labor?, what about those illgal immgrants who earned there citizenship and are a sucess?. I understand the frustration that manny tax payer americans have because they are providing illgal immgrants with 'free' stuff(medicare, food, shelter). For example this article shows that the government pays 2.2 billion per year for illgal immgrants and 12 billion for the immgrants childrens education and 2.5 for medical assistance. I believe this is almost evivalent (if im not mistaken) to the 17BILLION $ the government washes out incarcerating illgal immigrant. WOW huh.
I do agree with the idea of the government needing to find a way to where illgal immgrants will stop being a burden on hard working native citizens. (Meaning, support illgal immgrants but not by our tax payers).

This article is showing the various statistics for illgal immigrants, there are pros and cons for immigrants, but most of the cons cancel out the pros.I believe that with out illgal immigrants we wouldnt be able to live the lifestlye we actually want. In this country illgal immigrants produce $970 billion worth (making up 9 %of goods and services).Bob Justich, senior managing director at Bear Stearns, said "America is absolutely hooked on cheap labor. If we were to send back or deport all illegal workers tomorrow, it would be the equivalent of emptying New York state." Another interesting fact that i learned is that 10 percent of all construction workers in the United States are illegal. So there are proven facts that America does need immigrants, but they dont want immgrants comming ILLEGALY. Marilyn Davenport is an elected member of the Orange County Republican party, her email was leaked to the organge county paper creating a media outrage. The email shows an image representing Obama as a chimpanzee with two older chimpanzee "parents" follwing it says "Now you know why- No birth certficate. This is completely outragerous, racist and sooooo messed up. I know i have seen political cartons or george bush as a monkey but im sure if they would have made cartoons of him being a redneck hilbilly there would have been an outcry for that. Davenport has apologized but they still want her to step down from her duties...i know i do..shes a jerk.

Today assembly was so depressing.

So yesturday's fake accident was (im not gonna lie) a little bit cheesy but i didnt realize the bigger picture untill today. Today's assembly was so sad, and made me realize alot of things. While sitting their watching the coffine that was there and hearing the speeches, i just flashed back to my brodie's major car accident due to driving under the influence, he was in a comma for a month and was in critcal condition. After that accident it was a huge eye opener for me and i started being more careful with my actions. As time went by i found myself commiting some of the same dissions ive made before, leaving me in dejavu. This assembly was a great reminder for me. Hearing one of the mothers reading the letter they wrote made me realize damn that sounds like thats what my mother would say, and feel. What stood out to me the most was when she kept asking he dead son..."why didnt you just call?" "i would have picked you up, why would you be so stupid, i would rather have you here then gone" thats so crazy to me because at times when i go out and i end up lets sayyy stranded or about to be...or stuck on a ride ialways say there is NO WAY IN HELL ILL CALL MY MOM TO PICK ME UP! It so crazy to me because i know im not the only teen that thinks that way when they are in that situation.
Damn....Life is short, live it while its worth..but do it responsibly because it can be taken away from you in an instant!

Obama's budget plan for 2011.

Obama addressed the nation on April 13, 2011 about a real important matter, the budget plan for 2011. This was a policy speech as it was a political address. He blamed spending increases and tax cuts enacted during the presidency of George W. Bush and the recession that we endured in late 2007. He stated that at that point in time we lost our way, and that "We have to live within our means, we have to reduce our deficit, and we have to get back on a path that will allow us to pay down our debt," -Obama. Obama mocked the republican party for the plan that they had to reduce the deficit by 5.8 trillion dollars in the next decades. He hated the plan because it singles out and will impact the middle class tax payers, elderly and sick and leaves a break on the rich, which he said he will not stand for while he is president. President Obama concluded to a 4 trillion reduction by the next dozen years, there will be cuts in Medicare and medical and also in defense. Although this seems like its merely even putting a dent in paying off our debt, it allows the nation to slowly get back on path.

New Port Beach Partying fine $$

Today I was watching the News on KTLA5 and they were speaking about how they were going to start red flagging Party houses in New Port beach. Apperently when big holidays come around the party down there seems to get out of control and annoy some locals (Disturbing the Peace). The local department of New port beach and want to fine any people who attend the party and get caught being there in a red flagged house, your fine can be up to $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000 for first, second and third offense. For home owners you can be charged a stagering 5,000 to 8,000 dollars. In my oppinion i think this is stupid, it is just another way to collect money from us citizens. If the party gets out of control then the police should just end the party and give a ticket to the homeowners for disturbing the peace ..if they must.I would be furious if i was a resident at NewPort beach, heckkk if its on my property that I PAID FOR then i should allow who ever i want and celebrate.

France and Britain Push for a stronger NATO effort in Libya

On tuesday France and Britain urge NATO forces to intensify their efforts in Libya.In Misrata there has been alot of pressure on the rebel held city. Misrata has been they key city to be subjected to constant and longlasting attacks by those who are loyal to Gadhafi. Gadhafi forces seem to be heavly armed with weaponry killing rebels and tons of innocent civilians. The UK supplied more aircrafts to help about the civilian population of Libya but it would be welcomed if more countries would do the same. The US and Germany seem to be critized for not helping enough in the military opperation. But it is said that the North Atlantic military alliance is performing well and protecting civilians effectively. He said the alliance was successfully enforcing an arms embargo against Libya, patrolling a no-fly zone and protecting civilians there. Also The 27-nation European Union said over the weekend it was ready to launch a humanitarian mission in Misrata soon, with possible military support, if it received a request from the U.N. Hopefully things in libya can conclude to a decent ending.

Government Budget war

Negotiators finally came to an agreement just half an hour before offically reaching the deadline to a government shutdown. Democrats and Republicans finally agreed on what is called "Americas largest spending cuts" they reached a 38.5 billion dollar budget for 2011. According to this article there are far more budget battles ahead, most importantly the issue concerning the debt ceiling. The US is estimated to reach its absolute limit by May at 14.294 trillion. This is completly worry some due to the fact that our government takes so long to come to agreements to solve any problem,and this is potentially dangerous to our nation. The US borrows money to be able to pay such things as medicare, social secrurity, and any other expence the government uses, the tax dollars we pay cover only about 2 trillion of that debt. The debt ceiling will have to be increased if not our government wont have enough to fund government payments either they will be limited/delayed, including military salaries and retirement benefits,interest on the debt, unemployment benefits and even tax refunds.Congressional Research Service estimates that the government will need to borrow $738 billion between April 1 and Sept. 30. Honestly i believe ill have to do a little more research to see if i agree that an increase in the debt ceiling should rise because i seem to agree wih the pros and cons.

U.S Inflation..WHY prices are hitting the roof

The U.S dollar has fallen over 5% over the last year, and the trade-weighted dollar is at its lowest since first recorded by the Federal Reserve began keeping record in 1973. As the dollar falls the prices of imported goods rises. Food and produce have risen in cost due to floods in China and Australia and the heat in Russia. Not to mention gas prices are at its highest, and this is due to the problems in Libya. Its crazy to think that petroleum has risen 20.6% over the last year. But not only imported goods are rising, even if its made in the united states if it calls for an imported component such as auto transmissions, or computer chips it will make the product more expensive. Another reason for the cause of high prices on imported goods is the fact the business spending is picking up raising the demand for imported products. This article caught my eye because it related to my (last week) question of the week response,

I personally never really doubted the fact the President Obama is American, because hello!! YOU CANT BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IF YOUR NOT AMERICAN (that's set in stone). Donald Trump made an appearance in Whoopi Goldberg's show "The View", Trump made a comment on how President Obama has yet in the four years of his presidency shown actually proof of his birth certificate. He believes that Obama has paid millions of dollars to get around this issue and not face it. Whoopi was livid when she heard this comment, she said "what because he is black he needs to show a birth certificate"? Trump said this has nothing to do with race, John McCain was asked to show a birth certificate, Bush and allot of other presidents, and if he runs for president they will ask him to provide this information and he can no problem( he actually already did post a copy of his birth certificate online). This wasn't suppose to turn into a big scandal but it sure did! Now millions are doubting that Obama is even American. I personally believe this is to get publicity, there is allot of people who HATE Obama and will grasp onto this idea and never let go of it. I'm pretty sure if Obama never showed proof of a birth certificate this scandal would have broke out way before he was elected...like whoopi told trump "THIS IS THE BIGGEST PILE OF DOG MESS IVE HEARD"

Who Would Give Moammar Gadhafi refuge?

As the chaos continues in Libya to get the longest serving leader in the world to step down from his duties, today in London delegates from more than 40 governments and international organizations are meeting to map out Libya's future. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and other Arab, African and European leaders will be discussing the topic of where exactly Moammar Gadhafi will go if the rebels succeed in bringing this dictator down. Its believed that Gadhafi might agree to end the violence in Libya if he's offered a safe place somewhere else. The golden question is where would he go? Maybe China, or India? Since Gadhafi might be facing trial he needs to be stationed somewhere thats not within the ICC (International Criminal Court.
China and India are not apart of this so that means they're not obliged to carry out arrest warrants and other orders the court hands down.

Snipers, Shells, Tanks Terrorize Key Libyan City

Everyday that i turn on the news i hear nothing but updates on the situation taking place in Libya. Everything down there has gone to far the rebels and gadhafi's forces are terrorizing coastal city of Misrata. People in Libya is even living in total darkness they have limited to no communication and electricity.Residents there are living on canned food and rainwater tanks. It is said that the rebels are using 'primitive' tools like swords, sticks and anything they get from the Gadhafi mercenaries.
It seems like things just keep getting worse and worse.

Class discussion Reflection: Education

The class discussion on education was very informative and also interesting hearing the different perspectives on this matter. The class seem to agree on tenure, we concluded it should be granted for seniority but based on the quality of achievement/progress the teachers show. Some good points were made when saying it takes two to a(teach)learn; but then again the students should be putting the most effort to try and understand and build up our knowledge even if the teachers are 'bad'..take action to ensure we receive the education we deserve.I think its safe to say that we all agree that we disapprove with keeping things the way they are now, we need reform.

The lack of verbal communication skills has put our society to shame, by taking part of this ridiculous social network. Now in days people only befriend one through this horrid network, this is the site that allows the government to spy on you like big brother. It’s giving people the false impression that they may independently express their thoughts, opinions, and actions freely without any consequences. Similar to a diary, but instead it’s an open book, which will slowly but surely put your face to shame; hence the name “face book”. It is this network who contributes to the unemployment rate in the society, employers and employees are actually fired from their jobs as a consequence for their behavior on facebook. It is even this exact website who contributes to the number of petafiles, rapes, and even deaths a year! Lastly is statistically proven that online addictions lead to depression, eating disorders, lowself estime, and paranoia
Now on face book’s defense, indeed they cleverly found a way to duplicate a form of communication where no one will miss any trivial detail or important news, the only difference from the original network (myspace) is that now your grandma, grandpa, mother, father , uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, cousins, teachers, school, friends, managers, and bosses can take part in this new trend which again records your every movement and sends it to everyone in your circle like a constant updating news ticker.
For the people that have been ‘pooked’ with this infectious addiction of face book are in danger of becoming anti social, even practicing social skills and every day to day interactions start becoming more and more difficult since the day you signed up. Even the President of the United States (Mr.Obama) gave political and practical advice to the public by declaring the potential threat face book can have on your Carrier, concluding that this website can and will haunt you.
What this society needs is more productivity and competition so this free market can thrive, unfortunatly for face book fans, this cannot be made possible by dedicating your time and day in competing and beating your “friends” in growing virtual pumpkins and milking cows.We as Americans should embrace the beauty of nature that god has blessed us with, interact with society face to face and not through cyberspace, or at least have the ability to protect and be in control of what is being shared. As human beings we should stop digitizing our identitys and start living live for what its actually worth. With that being said, i declare my indepences from Facebook.

Internet Kill Switch here in US, just like China, Eygpt & Libya?

I came across this article stating that the president has the power to completely shut off cyberspace here in the united states. A bill was passed in 2010 called “Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010″ this bill gives the president the power to “authorize emergency measures to protect the nation’s most critical infrastructure if a cyber vulnerability is being exploited or is about to be exploited.” Which people started calling it the Internet kill switch, you would think this is impossible to do here in American right? I mean we see China's government controlling the Internet by shutting down certain parts of the Internet in case of war,and Egypt's government shutdown Internet too. Although this bill was expired with a new congress, another was passed but this time called “Cybersecurity and Internet Freedom Act of 2011.” Ironically this was passed the same day Egypt's Internet was shutdown. This bill contains the words 'freedom' but it allows the government to have power over privately owned computer systems. Okay so before you get your pantie up in a bunch, the new bill states the neither the president or anyone can have the power to actually shut down cyberspace but it does give the Department of Homeland Security the power to issue decrees to privately owned companies in a cyber emergency. Seems reasonable (: phewww when i first came across this article the first thing i said was "ooooooo HEEEEELLLL NOOOOOO , once i finished the rest of the article i was allot more calm. lol

Prosters in NYC regarding hearings on radical ISLAM

Protesters gathered on the streets of NYC under the cold and rain to protest against the congressional hearings held by Chairman Peter King, on "the radicalization of American Muslims." They are protesting because they believe during these hearings they are unfairly targeting Islam, by portraying all Muslim and Islam as the enemy. This sounds like our class discussion all over again, we aren't fighting against Muslims, we are having a war on terror.
King defended the hearings on CNN's "State of the Union" program.
"We're talking about al Qaeda," he said. "We're talking about the affiliates of al Qaeda, who have been radicalizing, and there's been self-radicalization going on within the Muslim community, within a very small minority, but it's there. And that's where the threat is coming from at this time." He also compared the goal of hearings like the investigating of the Mafia within the Italian community or going after the Russian mob.
Now according to these protesters Americans need to come together to promote tolerance. Honestly I'm tired of hearing this, Americans are entitled to their opinions. .now if Americans were proposing a genocide on Islam.Muslims then that's when things have gone way to far, and that is so far from ever happening! This isn't the first time a certain group of people have been given a bad reputation and have been put under speculation. This is just scandalous situation on behalf of both sides

Public School Official enforces school policy a little too far,

So I came across this article posted back in 2005. During lunch break a student by the name of Kevin Francois was taking to his mom on the phone. A school official demanded him to get of the phone, Kevin refused and resulted in the teacher physically taking the phone away (disconnecting the call). Kevin got really upset and started using profanity, concluding to being suspended for 10 days. The Kick out of this story is that Kevin Francois's Mother, Sgt. 1st Class Monique Bates was calling from Iraq. Ahhhhh doesn't that suck! Whats even more disturbing about that is not only has his mom been there since January but Kevin's father died. Whats pretty crazy is that the teacher was definitely 'DTM=Doin` too much' I mean seriously "cell phones" and electronic devices are prohibited in most schools. Although the enforcement of this policy is usually lenient when students are on break, but it is strictly implemented during class time. Now if the kid is on break it shouldn't matter in my opinion and the teacher definitely had no right in touching the students property in the first place! In my opinion Kevin shouldn't have been suspended!!Wow and especially not for 10 days.

Gadhafi-"Libya loves me and America is not the international police of the world"

Mummar Gadhafi was interviewed today and he denied all anti-government protest taking place in Libya. He said that all his people love him and would die for him! He blamed all this violence taking place on al-Qaida. He also said that President Obama was misinformed about the situation, that he must be speaking about somewhere else. Gadhafi also stated that "America is not the international police of the world." That's pretty funny that he would say such a thing because it does seem like America likes to stick our noses into everyone's problems. But then interestingly enough he says "I'm surprised that we have an alliance with the West to fight al-Qaida, and now that we are fighting terrorists they have abandoned us," he said" (reported ABC's Christiane Amanpour). So considering that statement, he wants America to come and serve justice with them. lol but ohhh no wait he feels abandon by America. I dont know it kind of seems contradicting to me in some sense hmmmmmm. .

Class discussion reflection: Ground Zero

Our class discussion on Ground zero was heated. It was clear who was opposed for the building of the mosque and who was for it! I happen to feel strongly about the situation, at first I was opposed with out even educating my self with the right information.After researching a little more I started to belive that maybe I was in the wrong and I should reconsider my oppinion but I continued to research more and view interviews and now I realize that I'm deffinatly opposed to this building near ground zero. Some people from both sides of the class made reaally good points. It was cool to see that some people were influenced by the discussion and changed there oppinion.All in all I learned alot of information and after learning the pros and cons I still stand my ground with my opinion on this situation.

State of Union 2011

In the State of Union President Obama summed up the challenges facing the country and his plans to meet them. This was the first by-partisanship seating in the history of SOU. He appointed to the country's number one issue, jobs. The unemployment rate is still horrific and called for new investments such as clean energy and education. Obama spoke about innovation and how we has a country need to 'out build' the rest of the world. He claims;"to get behind this innovation and to help pay for it " he is asking congress to eliminate the billions in tax payer dollars we give to oil companies. It was very humorous when he rhetorically asked "i don't know if you have noticed?.. But they are doing just FINE on their own". Obama also threatened to veto any bill set on his desk with ear marks inside. Health care was defended by Obama, even tho it was repealed by republicans. He also spoke about a personal case who was now hopeful for her children to have a good future because she was become an inspiration to them since she returned to pursue her education. One of my favorite part's of the speech is when he spoke about the United States soldiers, he said that there is a diversity of race and different types of soldiers that serve us including gay soldiers. Obama said "Starting today their will be no American forbidden to serve the country because of who they love". Debt was talked about constantly, the government spends more then what they can take in. He talked about cutting down on allot of programs that would help for example, the secretary of defense has agreed to cut down on military spending that are not needed. Although he talked about security and how we have put in efforts to forbid any extremist trying to hurt our homeland. He spoke about how we need to double the export of goods we produce. President Obama's speech was in my opinion encouraging to achieve a higher degree of education. By showing innovation to raise standards of teaching and learning, he will replace no child left behind by race to the top. All in all Obama's speech targeted the economy, and how business's need not only consumers but credit in order to create jobs , to how America didn't vote for gridlock, he asks a reform to improve this nation, and lastly sacrifices will need to be made to improve the future of the United States of America.

Nineteen days after the 9/11 attacks Imam Raulf was interviewed and basically said that USA is somehow an accessory to the attacks! That we were some how responible. . Train accident on Magnolia!

Crazyy stuff, a fifteen year old girl got hit by a train and passed away! :O woww!! its seriously like 7 minutes from my house?
She let the first train pass and decided to pass through the train tracks but she didn't see the metro link coming the opposite direction!This is so unfortunate and sad! She attended Norte Vista high school, but originally was supposed to attend La Sierra High School. It's so crazy to think that she didn't not think she was going to get hit by a train on the way home from school when she woke up. Tragedy strikes again. . may she rest in peace, and hopefully this will cause pedestrians to have more caution!

National anthem disgrace!

Christina Aguilera sang the United states National anthem in front of millions at SuperBowlXLV. In my opinion i think she was everywhere while singing, she has a beautiful voice! I don't understand why she decided to sing it the way she did. On top of that she murdered the words lol what was supposed to be " "O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming" turned into "what so proudly we watched at the twilight's last [unintelligible lyric]." Now if you know this is thee BIGGEST event watched through out America and a MAJOR HIGHLIGHT of your career why would you NOT practice it. Now obviously she hasn't been the only one to mess of the words of the national anthem but she should have known the hell she would receive from the press/media just like those other artist have. Thankfully right after her mistake she said the "rockets red glare" (and soldiers were shown on the telescreen) the audience broke out with a huge applause so that saved her from the total embarressment!

President Obama has an overall 81% presidential approval rating by Democrats and only 13% of Republicans. According to Gallup's points there is a 68-point gap in party ratings. It states that Obama is the fourth-most polarizing president in his second year of running since Dwight Eisenhower(1953). GW.Bush accounts for 6 of the 10 most polarized presidential years in Gallup history.. In Bush's fourth year in office (the year he was re-elected) there was an average of 76 point gap in approval ratings of him between Republicans and Democrats, and that's fairly close to Obama's average just being the second year! I decided to pick this article because we had homework dealing with surveying, and in that survey it asks us to get the public opinion on President Obama if they approve or disapprove; This article just so happened to be one of the headline articles on my homepage so i chose this because it shows stats on previous presidents ratings and it definitely relates to our assignment.

'Ground Zero Mosque': A Conservative Undermines His Own Crusade

Leonard Leo is chair man of the United States International Religious Freedom (USIRF), as his duty he is to encourage/ensure religious freedom extends to all corners of the globe. Now the controversy about a Mosque being built next to Ground zero is considered as "a strategic move to slap the face of Americans" according to the Liberty Central. The Liberty Central is against the 'Cordoba House' project, which endorses the Islam culture. The Cordoba House's mission is to foster dialogue, facilitate understanding, and promote research on Islam and Muslims in Canada and the role of faith in public life. What’s interesting is, Leonard Leo was recruited to be the director of this group (Liberty Central). The debate is whether or not Leo should be associated with people who is defiantly against and most likely to deny the New York Muslims to build this Mosque? Normally this would be screaming out S C A N D O L O U S to me! But honestly I really don't think it is right for The New York Muslims to build a Mosque right next to Ground Zero. Now they should understand why it’s morally wrong for them to do so because Ground Zero is considered as hallowed ground for Americans. Just like I understand and believe its wrong for Muslims to be denied the action to build a Mosque anywhere else, but it seems quiet appropriate to me for them to get turned down to build there Mosque right next to Ground Zero. Now if Muslims get denied building the Mosque anywhere else, then that is morally wrong and we should take in to consideration that we are being unreasonable, discriminating and "Islam-phobic".

Brutal Bullying in America

Thirteen year old high school student was brutally beaten in Philadelphia by seven guys ranging in the ages of 14-17. This was recorded and went on for about twenty minutes and ended this torture by hanging him on a wired fence. This is especially disturbing because there were eye witnesses who didn't take action, not even a 911 call. Ive personally been a victim myself, I got jumped by three guys and two girls (all older then me). I got attacked getting off the bus walking towards my house, similar to the victim in the video (he was walking home after school). Everyone was just watching me get beat. .even the bus driver! Luckily some justice was made and the attackers got sentenced to several months in the local juvenile detention center. Honestly I don't see the fun in hurting one human being to that extent. It's sad because 40% of the people that I have spoke with, can relate to my story or the thirteen year old boy and/or have had similar experiences. Reflection- Class Discussion on Health-care

Today's class discussion on health care was pretty interesting. Hearing every one's point of view on this situation was informative, personal, and deep if I must add. I noticed some of us tended to disagree on whether health care is a privilege or a right, but we all seemed to be on the same page that our country does need to take change for the better because our health care is Sh!T. We also discussed how this health care reform is confusing to America, which results in the people becoming against it. Another point that we targeted which was memorable to me was the fear that Americans have about this [low-key] Socialist bill being passed, with the idea that the next step up from being Socialist, is Communism. . .'oh gosh forbid that ever happen' (lol). Obviously it wont but the republicans seem to making up all these white lies to get into the peoples head. Just because we want to adapt a beneficial health care system from Communist countries per-say, it does not mean we will become the next China. Well i personally hope that we have another class discussion dealing with health-care because after today I'm sure that I'm not going to be the only one researching health care in depth more, because like palo said we will definitely generate more questions.

Reunited after 23 years!

 Crazy, So Carlina White was kidnapped as a newborn from a nurse at the hospital she was born at.
Living only 45 miles east from her natural parents house, she was unaware of their existence for 23 years.
She became suspicious of her "parents" when they couldn't give her a social security number or birth certificate. She became curious and she tracked down her biological parents in New York City through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This is a miracle! I can only imagine the bitter sweet moment Carlina White and her parents both endured when reuniting once again.

I just read the post Jonathan wrote about  Congress man  Rep Steve Cohen said comparing Republicans to Nazi. This is wild, I see the point he is trying to make by doing so. By them contently repeating lies Republicans say about "Government take over of Health care". He believes if by the republicans setting forth these lies that it will influence the minds of others. Its not government take over of health care, its called insurance. Although I agree with this point, maybe this political rhetoric went a little too far. Oh I'm so sure the Republicans are heated after that. . .ohhh baabbyy what a scandal!

Gardena High School Incident

"2 students shot accidentally with 1 bullet at L.A. high school , MSNBC press, 18. Jan. 2011"

Wow! Today at Gardena High school (located in LA) a student had a Gun in his knapsack and it "accidently" went off and one single bullet injured two unfortunate students. First of all what was this kid even thinking of bring a GUN to school? Guns don't usually fire unless someone pulls the triger right. . So how was this possible if he just set his bag on the table? Well the answers to these questions don't even matter because we know the outcome, this 10th grader is in a whole LOT of trouble. As for the two innocent students that were struck by the same exact bullet, they have been sent to Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and both are in serious conditions. This is sad, i pray for them to get better and the parents to get through this.
