Obama's budget plan for 2011.

Obama addressed the nation on April 13, 2011 about a real important matter, the budget plan for 2011. This was a policy speech as it was a political address. He blamed spending increases and tax cuts enacted during the presidency of George W. Bush and the recession that we endured in late 2007. He stated that at that point in time we lost our way, and that "We have to live within our means, we have to reduce our deficit, and we have to get back on a path that will allow us to pay down our debt," -Obama. Obama mocked the republican party for the plan that they had to reduce the deficit by 5.8 trillion dollars in the next decades. He hated the plan because it singles out and will impact the middle class tax payers, elderly and sick and leaves a break on the rich, which he said he will not stand for while he is president. President Obama concluded to a 4 trillion reduction by the next dozen years, there will be cuts in Medicare and medical and also in defense. Although this seems like its merely even putting a dent in paying off our debt, it allows the nation to slowly get back on path.
