U.S Inflation..WHY prices are hitting the roof

The U.S dollar has fallen over 5% over the last year, and the trade-weighted dollar is at its lowest since first recorded by the Federal Reserve began keeping record in 1973. As the dollar falls the prices of imported goods rises. Food and produce have risen in cost due to floods in China and Australia and the heat in Russia. Not to mention gas prices are at its highest, and this is due to the problems in Libya. Its crazy to think that petroleum has risen 20.6% over the last year. But not only imported goods are rising, even if its made in the united states if it calls for an imported component such as auto transmissions, or computer chips it will make the product more expensive. Another reason for the cause of high prices on imported goods is the fact the business spending is picking up raising the demand for imported products. This article caught my eye because it related to my (last week) question of the week response,
This is Terrible huh?. . .it would be awesum if we all these issues and problems can just go away with a snap of a finger.

These were the Words of a potential presidential candidate: Donald Trump.
I personally never really doubted the fact the President Obama is American, because hello!! YOU CANT BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IF YOUR NOT AMERICAN (that's set in stone). Donald Trump made an appearance in Whoopi Goldberg's show "The View", Trump made a comment on how President Obama has yet in the four years of his presidency shown actually proof of his birth certificate. He believes that Obama has paid millions of dollars to get around this issue and not face it. Whoopi was livid when she heard this comment, she said "what because he is black he needs to show a birth certificate"? Trump said this has nothing to do with race, John McCain was asked to show a birth certificate, Bush and allot of other presidents, and if he runs for president they will ask him to provide this information and he can no problem( he actually already did post a copy of his birth certificate online). This wasn't suppose to turn into a big scandal but it sure did! Now millions are doubting that Obama is even American. I personally believe this is to get publicity, there is allot of people who HATE Obama and will grasp onto this idea and never let go of it. I'm pretty sure if Obama never showed proof of a birth certificate this scandal would have broke out way before he was elected...like whoopi told trump "THIS IS THE BIGGEST PILE OF DOG MESS IVE HEARD"

Who Would Give Moammar Gadhafi refuge?

As the chaos continues in Libya to get the longest serving leader in the world to step down from his duties, today in London delegates from more than 40 governments and international organizations are meeting to map out Libya's future. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and other Arab, African and European leaders will be discussing the topic of where exactly Moammar Gadhafi will go if the rebels succeed in bringing this dictator down. Its believed that Gadhafi might agree to end the violence in Libya if he's offered a safe place somewhere else. The golden question is where would he go? Maybe China, or India? Since Gadhafi might be facing trial he needs to be stationed somewhere thats not within the ICC (International Criminal Court.
China and India are not apart of this so that means they're not obliged to carry out arrest warrants and other orders the court hands down.

Snipers, Shells, Tanks Terrorize Key Libyan City

Everyday that i turn on the news i hear nothing but updates on the situation taking place in Libya. Everything down there has gone to far the rebels and gadhafi's forces are terrorizing coastal city of Misrata. People in Libya is even living in total darkness they have limited to no communication and electricity.Residents there are living on canned food and rainwater tanks. It is said that the rebels are using 'primitive' tools like swords, sticks and anything they get from the Gadhafi mercenaries.
It seems like things just keep getting worse and worse.

Class discussion Reflection: Education

The class discussion on education was very informative and also interesting hearing the different perspectives on this matter. The class seem to agree on tenure, we concluded it should be granted for seniority but based on the quality of achievement/progress the teachers show. Some good points were made when saying it takes two to a(teach)learn; but then again the students should be putting the most effort to try and understand and build up our knowledge even if the teachers are 'bad'..take action to ensure we receive the education we deserve.I think its safe to say that we all agree that we disapprove with keeping things the way they are now, we need reform.

So this is a student from UCLA who posted a video on YouTube that went viral! There is so much controversy over this video and i see why!
This stupid girl said some really uncalled for things, alot of people are heated! Really. . . what she wanted was the attention and she sure got it, unfortunate for her she is now infamous. The sad part about it this insensitive b*@#! is that she is talking mess on the Asian community and mocking the crisis (tsunami) their families are going through!

MJ's Declaration of Independence from Face Book

When in course of human events, cyberspace has become a staple in American homes. The lack of verbal communication skills has put our society to shame, by taking part of this ridiculous social network. Now in days people only befriend one through this horrid network, this is the site that allows the government to spy on you like big brother. It’s giving people the false impression that they may independently express their thoughts, opinions, and actions freely without any consequences. Similar to a diary, but instead it’s an open book, which will slowly but surely put your face to shame; hence the name “face book”. It is this network who contributes to the unemployment rate in the society, employers and employees are actually fired from their jobs as a consequence for their behavior on facebook. It is even this exact website who contributes to the number of petafiles, rapes, and even deaths a year! Lastly is statistically proven that online addictions lead to depression, eating disorders, lowself estime, and paranoia
Now on face book’s defense, indeed they cleverly found a way to duplicate a form of communication where no one will miss any trivial detail or important news, the only difference from the original network (myspace) is that now your grandma, grandpa, mother, father , uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, cousins, teachers, school, friends, managers, and bosses can take part in this new trend which again records your every movement and sends it to everyone in your circle like a constant updating news ticker.
For the people that have been ‘pooked’ with this infectious addiction of face book are in danger of becoming anti social, even practicing social skills and every day to day interactions start becoming more and more difficult since the day you signed up. Even the President of the United States (Mr.Obama) gave political and practical advice to the public by declaring the potential threat face book can have on your Carrier, concluding that this website can and will haunt you.
What this society needs is more productivity and competition so this free market can thrive, unfortunatly for face book fans, this cannot be made possible by dedicating your time and day in competing and beating your “friends” in growing virtual pumpkins and milking cows.We as Americans should embrace the beauty of nature that god has blessed us with, interact with society face to face and not through cyberspace, or at least have the ability to protect and be in control of what is being shared. As human beings we should stop digitizing our identitys and start living live for what its actually worth. With that being said, i declare my indepences from Facebook.

Internet Kill Switch here in US, just like China, Eygpt & Libya?

I came across this article stating that the president has the power to completely shut off cyberspace here in the united states. A bill was passed in 2010 called “Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010″ this bill gives the president the power to “authorize emergency measures to protect the nation’s most critical infrastructure if a cyber vulnerability is being exploited or is about to be exploited.” Which people started calling it the Internet kill switch, you would think this is impossible to do here in American right? I mean we see China's government controlling the Internet by shutting down certain parts of the Internet in case of war,and Egypt's government shutdown Internet too. Although this bill was expired with a new congress, another was passed but this time called “Cybersecurity and Internet Freedom Act of 2011.” Ironically this was passed the same day Egypt's Internet was shutdown. This bill contains the words 'freedom' but it allows the government to have power over privately owned computer systems. Okay so before you get your pantie up in a bunch, the new bill states the neither the president or anyone can have the power to actually shut down cyberspace but it does give the Department of Homeland Security the power to issue decrees to privately owned companies in a cyber emergency. Seems reasonable (: phewww when i first came across this article the first thing i said was "ooooooo HEEEEELLLL NOOOOOO , once i finished the rest of the article i was allot more calm. lol

Prosters in NYC regarding hearings on radical ISLAM

Protesters gathered on the streets of NYC under the cold and rain to protest against the congressional hearings held by Chairman Peter King, on "the radicalization of American Muslims." They are protesting because they believe during these hearings they are unfairly targeting Islam, by portraying all Muslim and Islam as the enemy. This sounds like our class discussion all over again, we aren't fighting against Muslims, we are having a war on terror.
King defended the hearings on CNN's "State of the Union" program.
"We're talking about al Qaeda," he said. "We're talking about the affiliates of al Qaeda, who have been radicalizing, and there's been self-radicalization going on within the Muslim community, within a very small minority, but it's there. And that's where the threat is coming from at this time." He also compared the goal of hearings like the investigating of the Mafia within the Italian community or going after the Russian mob.
Now according to these protesters Americans need to come together to promote tolerance. Honestly I'm tired of hearing this, Americans are entitled to their opinions. .now if Americans were proposing a genocide on Islam.Muslims then that's when things have gone way to far, and that is so far from ever happening! This isn't the first time a certain group of people have been given a bad reputation and have been put under speculation. This is just scandalous situation on behalf of both sides

Public School Official enforces school policy a little too far,

So I came across this article posted back in 2005. During lunch break a student by the name of Kevin Francois was taking to his mom on the phone. A school official demanded him to get of the phone, Kevin refused and resulted in the teacher physically taking the phone away (disconnecting the call). Kevin got really upset and started using profanity, concluding to being suspended for 10 days. The Kick out of this story is that Kevin Francois's Mother, Sgt. 1st Class Monique Bates was calling from Iraq. Ahhhhh doesn't that suck! Whats even more disturbing about that is not only has his mom been there since January but Kevin's father died. Whats pretty crazy is that the teacher was definitely 'DTM=Doin` too much' I mean seriously "cell phones" and electronic devices are prohibited in most schools. Although the enforcement of this policy is usually lenient when students are on break, but it is strictly implemented during class time. Now if the kid is on break it shouldn't matter in my opinion and the teacher definitely had no right in touching the students property in the first place! In my opinion Kevin shouldn't have been suspended!!Wow and especially not for 10 days.
